Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for an Accounts Receivable/Collections professioanl with one of our manufacturing partners in the Hopkins area!

Job Duties/Description:
- Manage a portfolio of business-to-business customer accounts and actively pursue payment of outstanding invoices
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve past-due balances
- Review account aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and delinquency
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, short pays, and unapplied cash
- Negotiate payment arrangements or settlement plans in accordance with company policies
- Maintain accurate and detailed collection notes within the ERP or AR system
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing teams to resolve account issues
- Monitor credit limits and escalate high-risk accounts as needed
- Assist with month-end reporting related to AR performance and collections metrics
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in B2B collections or commercial accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of AR aging, payment terms, and credit principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and diplomatically
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
